Jennifer Garner on Motherhood

I don’t know about you but I just love Jennifer Garner and it all started with 13 Going On 30. I admit, when it came out, I was still in my teenage years, much closer to 13 than 30 but now that I’m an adult and nowhere near 13 anymore, I still love it just the same but for completely different reasons.

It was the first movie where I really noticed Jennifer Garner and have enjoyed watching some of her movies since. In an interview with TODAY, Jennifer says, “I’m really glad that I’m playing moms, because there’s no more rich time in women’s lives than when you have your babies, and when you’re trying to figure out how to parent them and balance everything, and the emotional weight of seeing your children struggle, or whatever it is,” she explained. “There’s so much there to draw from, that it feels like I’ve aged into where I should be as far as acting goes. You know what I mean? … As far as my career, I feel like I finally fit.”

Jennifer’s recent break up with her most recent husband has led her to embrace her new normal family. She has realized that children always come first and she’s living her life for her children. Recently while in Europe with her kids, she met up with Ben Affleck so they could spend some time with their father. Luckily, Jennifer and Ben are on good terms which helps keep the family somewhat stable.

She has also been grateful to the paparazzi for giving her children some privacy. She says that it’s better now that they aren’t waiting for her outside of school, doctors’ offices, and her home.

Although I am curious to see what is going on in the lives of famous people, I wouldn’t want my children being stalked either so I’m glad that these children get a bit of space.

“Nine Lives” comes to theaters where Jennifer plays another maternal role.
